- 2 cups of red lentils
- 5 cups of water
- 1 tbsp of tumeric
- 2 medium onions
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1.5 cans (about 300ml) of tomato paste
- 1.5 – 2 tbsp of garam masala
- Cook lentils with tumeric in water till soft, about 15-20 min. Drain
- Saute onion and garlic
- Add onion mix, tomato paste and garam masala and 1-2 cups of water to lentils. Simmer another 15 min.
