It is a relief when your doctor knows why you do not feel well. Blood work can provide many answers, but also can lead to very confusing conclusions. Have you ever run into a situation where a person, or maybe you, does not feel well, but blood tests are normal?
Of course! This scenario is as common as cereals for breakfast. It may be puzzling to see normal values on a test while you cannot deny your chronic fatigue frequent infections, constipation, swollen feet, varicose veins, or acne. Can you rely on blood work if a myriad of unhealthy symptoms can co-exist with so called healthy blood results?
Blood work is seldom the answer
If you are not not schooled in medical sciences you may be under the impression that ALL health problems can be detected through blood work. This belief is false. Even with the most sophisticated methods and the most caring doctor you cannot diagnose constipation, warts, bloating, acne, cold hands and feet erectile problems splitting fingernails or hundreds of other common symptoms. Just consider that two very serious diseases such as cancer and osteoporosis are usually discovered with tests not related to blood work.
Blood work alone is insufficient
There are three levels of health disturbance that require three different testing approaches:
Electromagnetic changes
At the early stages of ill-health nothing can be detected in blood because there are no significant biochemical changes. There are only changes to the flow of “Qi” or body energy. For science geeks I could call it changes in electrical potential of the cell and ionization of body fluids. Only specialized tests able to detect tissue (not blood) mineral concentrations, free radicals and buffering of acidity/alkalinity can show changes on this level. But these small, and seldom perceived alteration in cell function when allowed to exist for long time will ultimately lead to:
Biochemical changes
This is when SOME of the biochemical changes can be tested in blood. A body that reached this stage of health de-arrangement usually exhibits hormonal changes, tendency to, inability to heal, poor detoxification, lower oxygenation, and overall poor body performance. This stage often marks an onset of chronic symptoms such as hot flushes, blood pressure changes, excessive cholesterol, irregularity of bowels, cramps, anaemia and many others. More pronounced biochemical changes will eventually lead to changes in affected organs, and mark the beginning of:
Physical changes
or changes in organ/body appearance. At this stage cysts, polyps, tumors, ulcers hardening of an organ are common. The most common physical change is actually obesity, which also cannot be tested in blood. Yet, weight gain, or a physical appearance change, is the end effect of long-standing biochemical changes in the body. The reason behind failure of many weight loss diets is that they do not address underlying biochemical or electromagnetic changes that lead to weight gain.
Why natural medicine does not work
Blood work alone cannot tell why
Electromagnetic changes always precede biochemical changes, and biochemical changes always precede physical changes. A decline in health follows this path, which means less serious problem are noticed only on electromagnetic level, more serious problems can be seen also on biochemical level (blood tests), and the most serious problems will end up affecting tissue appearance.
Blood tests can reveal things like anemia, excessive cholesterol, hormonal changes, not enough potassium, inflammatory markers, etc. But they cannot tell you WHY you have anemia, WHY you have high cholesterol, or WHY you have inflammation. What the blood shows is the END effect of long-standing electromagnetic changes of your body. Using this information without understanding the reason behind makes blood work a useless tool for addressing causes of diseases. Just consider: it is easy to take iron for anemia, cholesterol-lowering medication or for high cholesterol or aspirin for inflammation, but unless you know what lead to these changes you will be subject to taking these pills permanently.
My doctor did not call – am I healthy then?
When you get blood work done, but don’t get a call back from your doctor it DOES NOT mean you are healthy. It may mean a few other things:
- Biochemical changes are present, but blood tests are insufficient, meaning that they are not comprehensive enough to include biochemical changes present in your body. Nobody can diagnose arthritis without testing for inflammatory markers, or ovarian cancer without testing for this specific cancer marker.
- Biochemical changes are present, but current blood test cannot reveal them. An example is heart enlargement or osteoporosis. There is no blood test for those.
- There are no biochemical changes present, and the problem exist only on electromagnetic level. Common examples are cold hands or excessive sweating. Blood work is not sensitive enough to pick up changes on the blood level, not yet.
With this in mind do not assume that your blood work must show something when you are not feeling well. Do not assume that when your doctor does not call, you are healthy or at least disease free. Even the most comprehensive blood work cannot guarantee good health. It only guarantees you are not sick for the diseases you have been specifically tested for.
