Health Care or Sick Care? What is Health Care?

There is no such thing as “health care” in our mainstream medical system. Treating symptoms and conditions with pharmaceuticals is simply “sick care“.

The backbone of good health is proper nutrition. Unfortunately most don’t know what that means and sadly the topic has been convoluted through too many special interests groups.

These groups will advocate for exotic foods often difficult to obtain (eg. reishi mushrooms), demonize certain wholesome foods (e.g. raw milk), or promote “natural” herbs and supplements instead proposing healthy lifestyle first. Although these things can make a difference, there is no substitute for continuous proper nutrition from whole foods.

Research is flawed, scientists make mistakes

We are imperfect. We are humans. We are flawed and that includes scientists. Many modern scientists repeatedly continue the path of misinformation without realizing it. They derive their research from studies that made poor correlations in the past. This vicious cycle of poor conclusions has been perpetuated for so long already, that it’s simply laughable.

Redefining health care

“Health care” is prevention. Prevention requires following a path that promotes good health. Prevention or “health care” requires mustering up the discipline to make lifestyle changes. No one should expect miracles once sick, especially when bad lifestyle drove the body to the point of no return.  Good heath relies on practicing healthy lifestyle early enough.

Research responsibly

Fortunately, the answers are out there and with the use of the internet it’s easier than ever. However, be vigilant. Be on guard not to fall for some slick “talking heads”. Some will pull at your emotions while emptying your wallet. Some will pray on your weaknesses and then cleverly lure you into a sale or donation.

Be critical and don’t let desperation guide you. Check “expert’s” credentials and maybe look for independent reviews. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or be skeptical of wellness gurus. Miracle cures aren’t that frequent on internet.

Have realistic expectations. Health is a skill not a pill. Due to side effect many patients eventually want to get off the drugs they are taking. Yet, despite the claims, the natural alternative for Metformin (drug prescribed for diabetics) isn’t Cinnamon, Nori, or Gymnema. It is a healthy lifestyle. Only healthy lifestyle guarantees good health
